Mine wasn't through BWLA. Loads of tickets are back on sale as of today so just had a look. £125 for B class seats.

I just read your post about the same day weigh in. On youtube it seems like the better 77kg oly lifters are normally 82kg, how the hell do they lose 5kg when it's the same day weigh in and still compete so well?

I was nearly 19 years old though. And was doing jumps training for a couple years before. I'd imagine Tom was younger, and if its 50kg, didn't really try?

300 deadlift, i doubt some guys get +100kg out of gear? I bet loads of people pull this, just in various sports and not for youtube vids. The 1st time i set foot in a gym 5 years ago i did 200 weighing something like 71kg.

What would world records be clean? Didnt that WWE guy pull 430 and was tested?

I would suggest the fact that most people aren't super strong as naturals should be enough to tell you there is a reason why

But isnt that because people are trying to be heavier than they can naturally be? People go on, gain size+strength, go off, lose size+strength.

There was already an example earlier, someone lost 3 off peds stone and was only marginally weaker. Much better off

I gotta ask, do PED's only make you stronger because of the size gains? I don't see why most guys cant be super strong as naturals. Isn't strength mostly just how many muscle fibres someone can recruit, and more talented people can recruit more of their fibres? If that's how it is, then i can see how added muscle through PED's can help, but wouldnt people be better off working with their natural size?

Now for my expert technical advice....not really im s**t.

Wondering where you bought the knee wraps from? They are expensive in the places i've looked, and what size did you get? We're probably similar size.

Probably uses test and growth, 2 things all natural old men are lacking. But lets give them the benefit of the doubt and come up with all sorts of bulls**t excuses.
» Best way to develop a powerfull 2nd pull? (Go to post)11-05-2012 @ 14:25
Working on the second pull won't help you develop as a weightlifter

I think it would, i doubt any weightlifter has tried, but ive mostly only been able to do hang work because of hamstring injuries and ive recently gone back to floor and it still improves.

Maybe just give hangs more time? I took 4 years to go from 120 to 177 and didnt really do anything else, well apart from overhead shot. Sometimes hurdle jumps.

I do this alot, 16lb right? Im a little shy of 19m on this. Keep arms locked the whole time, levers are important for throwing so extend as much as you can, especailly on release. Also, i think more bodyweight helps in this, so throw your weight back into it more. Guy i train with always ends up on the floor because he gets everything behind it.

You also let it go too early, if thats as far as your arms will go back, get stretching

It's a choose and book system, did you get a letter through the post? I went to my GP, within a week i got the letter. Then you either call up or go online with your options and book an appointment in the 1st available slot. Usually there's an appointment within 2 weeks available. But you will have to wait longer for the ultrsound, first they will send you to a specialist just to consult, and then they will book the US.

» GP hospital referals (Go to post)05-05-2012 @ 18:00
Does anyone know how these work? I was seeing a Dr that works in English institute of sport who said get my GP to refer me to a specific surgeon.

Went to my GP and he said he would refer but when i get a letter back to book an appointment, i get 5 options and none are the hospital i asked for. They are all quite local, but i'm sure i've been refered some where out of my area in the past.

Are there new rules, or any other reason he wouldn't refer me there? I'll go back to the GP on Tues, just hope he doesn't tell be bs.
