been having some real issuses with my grip,all ways been a problem befor i started strongman,but thought i was making progress until i completely fuked up in welsh u90 on the frame....then at bulldogs i got 44m with 90kg farmers! i knw one major problem,im not always consitant with grip training,or not doing enough maybe.....things i do now are mainly pinch,some holds and wrist curls...when event training i would finish off with farmers holds...i also use to use fat grips alot,used them with any thing i could put them on,but jus stoped ...apart from exercises iv mention,can any one recomend anything else?im changing my traing around next week- mon-squats wed-push day fri-deads with this split can i train grip twice a week? | |||

gym sesh 17/08/2012 barbell shugs 60 x15 last rep held 100 x10 last rep held 100 x10 last rep held 120 x6 last rep held 120 x5 last rep held dumbell srugs 32 x15 40 x12 45 x9 good mornings bar x15 40 x10 40 x10 45 x8 aint don these for over a year,think i need to include these on regular basis hypers 3x20 CG cable row 45 x15 75 x12 102 x10 102 x10 drop set-40 x15 cable wrist curls 3x15,10,10 just a qwik sesh....shrugs i found difficult when doing 120kg,i thought my grip was coming along,was a real eye opener when i did welsh u90 and kept droping 250kg frame,it was wide but no excuse...my grip is s**t...think im gona need to do more than a few holds and wrist curls!!!!!! | |||

gym sesh 16/08/2012 squat bar x15 60 x10 100 x5 140 x3 180 x1 belt and sleves on 210 x1 220 x1 PB defo more there, bench bar x10 60 x10 100 x3 120 x3 140 x1 sleves and wrist wraps on 155 x1 160 x1 PB defo more there close grip machine press 65 x12 80 x10 105 x8 105 x8 standing over head tri extensions 30 x15 40 x10 45 x10 45 x10 cable tri extensions 3x12 first sesh back after bulldogs,had plenty of rest and felt realy good,so decided to go for pbs....in both the squat and bench there was defo a few more kgs there,but didnt wana push it...happy to jus get my totals up..start back proper training monday,may evan follow some type of programe...main goals are to just improve my grip and static...and maintain my conditioning..im happy with the rest realy... | |||
