Someone mentioned about Jerry not being suited. I got the impression that he had a suit on and then the sponsors t shirt over the top Not 100 percent sure though. I was a long way back from the action

I seem to remember last year on the TV coverage of esm there was a lot of shots of the double tree by hilton at granary wharf. They also ate at farzenda which is down that that, I may have made that up though or even dreamt it.

Post Edited: 21.12.2012 @ 11:05 AM by Shep Pull plus of 200 kg,(only at 165 today)Learn to squat and bench properly, and get work hard on those lifts as well. Train at a proper gym more often Sort my diet out (either not enough or far to much s**t) My crack pipe dream for 2013 would be a 500 total. f**kin love that my post popped up after ursus, makes my lifts look mint!

i have often wondered about this, The two main factors that hold me back are the fact the general gym going public are not the sort of people I'd enjoy dealing with day to day (i hate being in my commercial gym half the time!) and I would worry that I'd either lose my buzz for training or over train because I'm always around the equipment. I'd love to work with people who have a desire to get stronger though! the point VG makes about someone working as S&C coach for a rugby team is intresting, normally I couldn't think of anything I'd rather do, I'm guessing it was a rugby union team he worked with as well so if it was my dream job of working for a league team then the money would be even less. Dream job on less money than I am now... is it worth it and is it possible? Good luck to those of you who do it, and while I'm sat here at my desk I will be eternally jealous.

How much are you currently paying to train? £60ish Would a 12 month contract appeal to you if it had a significant discount? Yes How far do you travel to a gym? Either in work or a mile detour on way home What is the ideal time for you to train? 4 pm How many times per week do you train? 4 or 5 Do you train at more than one gym? If so why? yes, convience and to push my self with bigger lifters List your top 8 pieces of essential kit needed in a gym? Bar, plates, somewhere i can drop stuff, benches, squat rack, light dummies, a tv... List your top 3 wish list items for a gym? Deadlift platform with bands etc, power rack, bumper plates What facilities would be of interest to you? the above Would the idea of a top up card be of interest to you so you could pay as you train by the hour? For example a one off payment for the card then add credit to the card and swipe when entering/leaving the gym if i wasn't going regular and signed up for a year

Deadlifts this week, Didn't get something right this morning and the session felt poor, not good at all. 65 * 3 105 * 2 145 * 1 170 * 1 (Failed it three times, couldn't even break the floor on it) Went to work pins (actually steps because we don't have any pins, about 6" tall) 150 * 1 130 * 5 110 * 10 90 * 10 Crap session, wasn't happy about it, need to have a good rest of the week on my other bits and come back better next week and hopefully get the 170 for a new PB. Suppose I ought to document last saturdays failed session. it was something along the lines of 60 * 5 100 * 3 140 * fail me giving up. lessons learnt are Eat properly before a session and don't push for two heavy deadlift sessions in 4 days. Today went much better, ate well this morning so I feel personally that helped me a lot, this is something I'm going to continue!! 60 * 8 100 * 4 130 * 1 160 * 1 (New PB) 160 * fail 100 * 5 60 * 5 Moved on to do some forearm and shrug work (short session as works gym on lunch hour) Very happy with the new pb, shows what a weeks rest eating as much as i could get my hands on and drinking as well! Going to keep the training along the lines untill i hit my celling and then look at how to progress at that point, still seem fairly ok with light warm ups then adding a bit on to my pb each time. Cheers.

bean said:Expecting some huge pulls tomorrow Yeah so that didn't go to plan did it bro? First deadlift session this lunch time since my holiday. Felt a few shoulder niggles while I was away due to uncomfy bed and bodyboarding, sports massage booked in for next week to see if that helps at all. Much more cuff work and pre-hab planned. Need to nip it in he bud.

On the plus side I can more or less eat whenever i want, which is a bonus. Now to finish my pork pie...

JackRevans said: No, from my internship I can assume it leads me to a job in a horrible office building full of fake personalityless people, some of whom end up killing themselves and the rest are just dead inside. Yep, that describes my office inside out to be honest. A room with 30 of us, one tiny window, no one talking (unless its about babbies between two women) Spend most of my shift (8 till 4) clock watching, on here, texting mates, emailing mates, or sneaky naps when and where i can get away with it. One day I will end up going crazy working here. |
