Post Edited: 14.07.2011 @ 13:10 PM by Terminator Trained at "The Gym" in Hounslow today with a mate, I wasn't too keen on the place, it was massive yet only had DB's up to 30 kg, and ~220 kg of weight plates for 3 bars and a smith.Overhead Press: 42.5 kg x 5 52.5 kg x 5 62.5 kg x 5 70 kg x 5 (paused) + 1 Push Press PB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k18n9sZ5oQY Rep 5 was a bas***d, had to lean back and everything to get it up, that said I have had tougher reps. Clean and Push press because i felt like it: 70 kg x 1 (PB) Squats: 62.5 kg x 5 80 kg x 5 92.5 kg x 5 92.5 kg x 5 Deadlifts: 60 kg x 5 100 kg x 5 135 kg x 4 165 kg x 7 PB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeqP1Q789VU 180 kg x 1 PB 190 kg x 1 PB Was pleased with the workset and even more pleased with my easy pull on 180. 190 went up pretty easily too, I feel confident in saying that 200 is there, but I would have had to wait ages for plates to be free so left it for another day! DB shoulder press: 30 kg x 10/10/9 Perpendicular pull ups: BW x 15/14/10 or something Good session!

Post Edited: 13.07.2011 @ 15:07 PM by Terminator At uni I don't have a fixed training partner, but its a friendly atmosphere so there's (normally) someone i've spoken to before who can spot me properly.when i'm home i have a training partner half the time, but he's not that experienced lol I think someone needs to invent a set of cables that dangle from the ceiling to the bar on bench press. when it detects the bar moving downwards, it takes the tension ![]()

Post Edited: 08.07.2011 @ 17:52 PM by Terminator Afternoon training session:Weigh in: 95 kg Bench Press: bar x 20 52.5 x 5 65 x 5 77.5 x 5 90 x 5 102.5 kg x 3 - harder than it should have been, shoulder was a little sore 77.5 kg x 8 (Not to failure) Squats: bar x 10 60 x 5 75 x 5 90 x 5 105 x 5 122.5 kg x 3 Easy 90 kg x 20 It was university open day today, and I had a whole crowd of parents and 17yr olds watching me squat lol. It helped me beast out 3 reps easily. The 20 repper was pretty brutal, did 8 reps, stopped, then went up in 2 rep increments until 15. My legs didn't feel sore after, but i was out of breath for 10 mins. Pendlay Rows: Today I discovered that the bar I use for these is 12.5 kg and not 15 kg like I thought ![]() bar x 5 42.5 kg x 5 62.5 kg x 5 67.5 kg x 5 80 kg x 3 Wasn't too bad 57.5 kg x 8 Easy I wanted to do some shoulder work after this, but I'm nursing a small injury to my right shoulder/tricep. I was doing seated DB presses last session(on 35kg, a slightly heavier weight than I am used to) and the right DB went back behind me a little, straining the joint. Didn't think much of it at the time, so just carried on, but today it became painful to press 27.5s, so abandonded it. Left arm standing strict shoulder presses: 27.5 kg x 8 32.5 kg x 5 Hopefully my right gets better before next pressing session on Weds :/ Tried dips too, but that hurt. Wide grip pull ups: BW x 11,9,7 - Good, will now go for 35 in as few sets as possible

If they knew they would raise all manner of objections I think!

your housemates/friends see you pull out the old protein shaker and say "here comes arnold", or "mr universe is in the house" ? They think I'm some vain bodybuilder obsessed with muscle defintion and tan, when I'm actually trying my hardest to catch Andy Bolton and Zydrunas Savickas. Had to get that off my chest
