I don't think it's anything like tripe. Tripe is the devils food. My gran got me to try it when I was about 9-years old. Just a smallish piece with some vinegar on it. God damn disgusting, it's almost making me heave just thinking about it!

The eel its self is like a pleasant white fish and the jelly is basically the water they boiled the eels in with a load of gelatine bunged in it.

I once had deep fried tripe in a posh and very weird restaurant and it was nice. Otherwise its pretty grim.

Have you ever had jellied eel?

I had it at a pie and mash shop on Saturday for the first time in my life and it really is quite an interesting dish. A textbook example of diminishing marginal utility actually. The first bite was luxury to the highest regard but by the time I got to the last chunk I really had to force it down. In my lowly opinion, the eel its self is nice and the jelly is at first neither here now there, however after a short amount of time becomes very tedious and sickly.

The shop I went to was also interesting in its own right. As was the pie and mash for that matter.

For those of you who don't know, jellied eel looks something like this. I recon it's kind of the cockney version of tripe or something.

I dont know.

To answer your question, my program(me) is written by me and I decided I should probably deload because I hadn't had any time off training or deloaded since christmas and after maxing out on squats I felt tired and like maybe my "CNS was fried".

I understand the concept but it really hasn't done me any favors. In fact it has totally derailed my training.
