Gra_Bul said:I get none at all and the missis hates the sport, I do talk about it a lot and text training partners who are friends of course, she hates that too, I get it that she hates training an me moaning about feeling rough, but like everyone I need a hobby, I don't drink I don't smoke and I pretty much don't leave the house! Suppose in heinsight I'm a boring c**t and my missis could prob do better and is probably out tonight testing the waters............ah well

I'm completely the same. I'm pretty much agrophobic, I never go out atall exept from going to college and going to the gym, I pitty the next woman who ends up with me. Unless they have a deadlift fetish

Well i'm not really sure in which context that you are using the word 'respect'.
For example, someone that can deadlift 20kg should be shown the same amount of respect as someone that can deadlift 400kg.
Someone like Brain Shaw can deadlift 430kg+... but I do not respect him any more than any person in a gym deadlifting any sort of weight. I respect his acheivement sure, but not him as a person any more because of it.
I hope that this makes sense to you.

no i know exactly what you mean, but pretty much everyone else in the world isnt as nice as you and would be a lot more shallow

i used to get that off my girlfriend a bit, training 3 times a week. you can never win an argument with a woman so just start training 7 days a week

I was actually going to start a "Why are strongmen stronger dead lifters than powerlifters?" thread, but decided not to! Grin

see and its lucky im here to conduct this cutting edge experiment. stromgmen are better deadlifters ITHER because theyre cooler, OR because theyre less cool.
