8th October

Northern Masters in Mytholmroyd. I was competing as a guest but am a masters lifter from january.

Total of 222, which I'm happy enougfh with. Very close on the 125 jerk, a little less close on the 128 but figured I'd go for it.

The average guy will percieve the average strength trainee as "strong", regardless of their actual ability. I'm regarded as the "strong" one at work, working with offenders with mental health problems. As you can see from my numbers, I'm far from that.

As of january I'm a "master", as in over 35. Suddenly i qualify for a lot more comps, tho I'll still prob just do 2 or 3 a year.

My missus is pretty good about me training 3/4 day per week and comes to most of my comps. It's the surfing and snowboarding she doesn't understand. And 5 years later she's still horrified by how much I eat Roll-Eyes

It was a bit of an issue at first but I don't smoke, rarely drink, don't womanise. i'll take her out at least once a week and when I'm in I pay her lots of attention and don't just ignore her and sit staring at the telly with the remote in my hand.

Oh yeah, and fat pete's got it bob on Grin
