Like I've said mate if you plan on competing next year I think you should focus on gym strength till september time then start smashing the events. Think with the new strength the events will be lots easier and quicker and you will do well at BSM u105 imo.

Post Edited: 11.05.2012 @ 18:36 PM by Olli1990 Maybe some fun comps at u120 but not bringing in all the qualifiers and nationals and such for this weight class. I have to agree with JC at 19+ stone if you can't do most of the events at opens then you shouldn't do it simple as! Train harder get stronger and come back.EDIT: the argument that it could push the opens guys like u90s did for 105s is bulls**t if the guys at 120 start pushing the opens guys to do better they should of done opens in the first place IMO.

Haha I finally managed to get to the tailors today and it cost me £16.50 to get the coat altered (cheap I thought). I did contemplate just getting really fat to fill the coat but then that would cost more than 16.50 so this is probably best idea. P.s. Jay I know your a big guy but f**k me 6xl you must be built like a nuclear bunker!!!!

Hello I recently tried buying a new coat and came across a number of problems I wondered if other people came across..... I bought a XXL jacket off ebay only to find it was far too tight around the shoulders and chest (why have they made sizes so small is it for skinny people to feel hench!?). So I sent it back and gave Jacamo a try (yes I admit I did it) and got a jacket that fit across the shoulders but is far too baggy around the stomach!!!! Do clothes designers believe that everyone is just skinny or fat? That no-one can have wide shoulders and a smaller waist (I have wide-ish shoulders and in all honesty a slight gut but still the jacket was HUGE!). And also why does a jacket have to be XXXL to fit me? Why does a Xl seem like it should be a medium to me? Anyway just ranting because I'm pissed off I have to take the fecking jacket to a tailors and thought I'd share
» How does this sound to mix things up in a strongman comp... (Go to post) | 10-05-2012 @ 22:10
chaos said:To be really good it needs to be a total mix includign a max something, a run/ walk/ waddle with something and/ or load it, picking up and moving some other s**t, a man vs man event (wrestle, tug of war, arm wrestle), pull or push some big f**king vehicle, and a stones finish! With the boring max event first - when i say boring i mena for the everday joe just watching in the crowd not us in the know (I love seeing max lifts but get bored with the ealry rounds!) Just my 2p Agree with everything else apart from the arm wrestling I just don't agree it proves strength at all Sorry just my opinion :s
