Right Folk,

pretty much a newcomer on SB but have hovered for a while and i like PL and strongman type training

well since around Christmas time neil deighton has kindly helped me along and think he has done a fantastic job can praise his work highly enough ive being calling down to see him regular and a great guy to train with, so here go’s

Bench
140kg 3yr ago
Recently done 130kg x 6 & 120kg x 8
so i would say the 140kg would be possible on the right day

Squat
185kg,august 2012
current 205kg x 2 these where done with neil in presence

Deadlifts
220kg,november 2012
current 230kg but have done 220kg x 3 so i reckon again on a good day i could nail the PB

current log press 100kg

The main purpose of this journal is i am wanting to get a hell of a lot fitter so because of this i have booked a couple of road runs for motivation so i wont get lazy one of them is for charity the others are just for fun.

Edinburgh 10k
http://www.greatrun.org/events/event.aspx?id=3 in july

Middlesbrough 10k for charity in sept
http://www.runmiddlesbrough.com/index.aspx?articleid=4540

then the final race is the ‘survival of the fittest’ in nov
http://www.mhsurvival.co.uk/manchester.html

so training will be pretty much a PPL which i like to do and it keeps gym time down also and if i get any spare time/night i can always use my logs/farmers walks/hexy bar at home for a workout.

Then on the other nights i will be doing my best to get at least a run or a walk or a blast out on my bike to get the CV in the aim is to get as reasonably fit as possible for the sept (charity) race and carry it on for the November race.

Weight wise i have hovered around 101-102kg for the last maybe 6-8weeks so i would imagine its inevitable i will lose weight but want to do my best to maintain the strength that i have got.

Food wise pretty much as normal don’t do diets but will tidy it up a little, i also have two trips away before the September race a week in Ireland and 2 weeks in spain so am hopeful of a little lesser of a belly by then lmao
