The hate is directed to the strong dips! I've started doing them over the last few months and really like them as assistance.definitely helped my lockout more than any other thing I've tried.

Not so good! Seeing a physio every week to get my back straightened out and deep tissue massage on my glutes/erectors. 90% sure I'm out of NoS mate, but will know for sure when I start building up again over the next few weeks. If I'm not competing I'll be there to spot/load anyway Happy

I think you'll pleasantly surprise yourself on the deadlift with the way your raw numbers are going up. Obviously there's a few big pullers there, but I doubt you'll be bottom of the pack, and your C+J will more than make up for it. Top 3 if I'm out/unfit! Tongue

For the log it says from the shoulder on Facebook. So I assume it's either going to be handed to you by the spotters, or you'll need to clean it.

Floor to overhead would be better though, as some guys (probably me Grin ) will need to put it down at least once during the set.

I did 180kg for 15 paused reps with a few breathers last month..

It's very good for conditioning... though its impossible to translate it to a 1RM as it's more a cardio exercise than anything. If I wasn't going to s**t out both lungs, I could have kept on going for loads more.

While others may have correctly guessed the Top 3.. I think Paul's prediction was spot on, for me at least.

Niall and Shane worked their arses off yesterday and ran a good comp with very little help (well done to the guys that helped out in the medley at the end).

I just wish I could have shown a little more of myself and how I've actually improved. Maybe next time. Happy

Deadlift might not have been your best event, but you at least beat me on it! (Never again! Grin )

Millsy tore/pulled one of his calves on the second implement of the medley (sandbag).

A great day out with some awesome performances from the top guys.

Think shock of the day was when Joe Bowyer, who weighed in at 90.5kg, BEASTED the medley with the fastest time. Will be great to see him doing a few U90 events in 2012.
