» Best Achievement after Injury / illness ? (Go to post)28-01-2012 @ 20:40
It's always felt wobbly ever since, but I've not had any problems with the cartilage or dislocations so never bothered getting it looked at further. The feeling when it popped and my knee bent the wrong way though... Grin Wink

I don't have any real achievements, but I've had a few injuries..

Dislocated shoulder several times/ruptured anterior deltoid (Judo injury about 10 years ago), surgically fixed and can Axle C+P 115kg now.

Torn ACL playing football 20 minutes after dislocating/relocating previously injured shoulder.

Pulled both patellar tendons the week before OSG Push and Pull last year and pulled 280kg.

Slipped L5-S1/trapped nerve/torn glute in September. Second session back lifting just before new year pulled 265kg.

L5-S1 injury has now returned (warming up squats last week...) and I have a broken thumb. Roll-Eyes

Physio says I should take up needlework, but I'm pretty sure I'd end up stabbing myself in the eye/cock. Embarassed

Yeah I got the chipmunk thing all through school.

My ex-wife was even called Ellenore.... which was the name of Theodore Chipmunk's girlfriend.

» Advice on Coan/Phillipi Deadlift routine (Go to post)10-01-2012 @ 12:12
I really liked it, but I wasn't conservative enough with either the increase I aimed for, or the amount of rest I allowed myself. I tried to go from 270kg to 300kg doing a session every 5 days.

It still worked really well for me, but it was quite hard going and the rest of my lifts stagnated while I concentrated on this. The only lift I failed was the final 300kg, but got 285kgx2 easily and 292.5kgx1 without any problems.

Happy

Teddy - though you said you did 250 on FB? You are a better puller than me mate, no doubt about it, so I'm sure you'll catch me up and breeze past me... Cheers.

220 was an easy lift, but 250 made a few things click so didn't lock it out Happy

Won't be in Night of Strength 2, but if there's a 3rd I'll be there - with a deadlift and overhead (maybe!) Tongue

Teddy - I'm sure you'd have done it by now if you hadn't had the injury mate. Cheers.

I'm just back onto deadlifting and squatting now fella, so I'm chasing your numbers, albeit slowly! 220kg in my first session, so I'll get you eventually! Wink

All the best for 2012 mate.

» Night of strength - news? (Go to post)19-11-2011 @ 06:03
You might know already, but:

1st Shane Burns - 140kg/350kg
2nd Jonny Mills - dunno!
3rd Danny Louden - 130kg/???kg
4th John Taylor - 132.5kg/280kg

Didn't get to go in the end, and results are just what have been posted on Facebook.
