That's what matters.

I'm sorry I just cannot belive he was guilty for the, first case, the jordan whateva one, were the family was "paid off"!! I'm sorry, but I dont think any mother or father would accept ANY amount of money to push under the carpet the fact that there child was fiddled with; I know i wouldn't!!!

I dunno man. Once the money is on the table. And you've been advised that he wouldn't do much of a stint in jail. And it'd be a comfy jail.

That's no kind of revenge.

I'd take the money, let things die down a bit, then hire a really good hitman. The type that does it smooth, no traces. Looks a lot like a heart attack.

It's in the magazine's interest to make something appear complicated, then offer the solution.

If you're eating a lot the chances of being deficient in anything are pretty slim.

I'm also vegan, and don't really give much thought to the protein question.

but if some non scots are comming up i will have some of our finest cuisine for our guests to sample
roll in taty scone
scotch pie
square sausage
and of course tablit !!!!

Shame they'd have to go East Coast for a red pudding supper though...

Porridge for breakfast too I reckon, brose style. Good for gaining a few kilos pre-comp:

Because it doesn't have time to swell as much as fully cooked porridge, a larger mass could be eaten in one meal, hence the idea that a bowl of oats for breakfast will last one all day.

Although this should never be admitted online, I cannot currently match my PBs Unhappy

So I think things are probably pretty even, which should be interesting.

» Boxing question (Go to post)25-11-2008 @ 15:16
I doubt there is any boxing governing body with the will or the capacity to test randomly out of season.

Which to me means you aren't testing at all. The only guys you catch are the ones who weren't taking what they thought they were.

did spug get in touch about his gym in liverpool offering to get some of it?

It would be like adoption, apart from you being able to see the kids when you wanted to...

Shame we couldn't sort something out, things move pretty fast in the world of strongman sales. Unhappy

Because it was "best offers" rather than a price I had to try to get some advice on what would be a legit offer (wasn't my money to spend), rather than being able to go to the gym and say "I can get this log for £175, are you interested?"

Currently training in Liverpool at the Training Station - great gym (obviously not Adders standard, but then what is?), and convinient for me at the moment.

Hey man, that's my home gym too, let me know what times you're training at and I'll say hello.

I'm only in there Tuesday/Thursday at the moment though due to rowing training.
» Highland Games/Strongman Combo (Go to post)19-06-2008 @ 09:40
From the website:

"The Caber is tossed for accuracy not distance. The judge must "call it" just as the stick hits the ground. A side judge will sometimes be used to determine if the caber rotated thru 90 degrees, if not, its a "Fifer" and not counted."

A FIFER!!! WTF!! Unhappy

Martin - my family is from Lewis (live in Laxdale, just outside Stornoway), used to spend every school holiday up there. Still love the place and get back fairly regularly (my dad's the rector of the school up there nowadays). There's half a chance I'll be up there during this as I was looking to get up for a long weekend in July. More likely to compete in the highland dancing than the highland games though.

I like the idea of strongmen being able to push people about. It's a fairly classic trail of strength. However it doesn't sit well with the training required to move the weights that are being asked of these guys. They have to sacrifice mobility and stamina in favour of strength and bodyweight. I don't think you can have both types of event at this level.

What's causing all these injuries?

Too many high-risk moves off the top rope?

Some evidence in favour of boxing:

Well worth a watch if you have a spare 20 minutes.
