Loads of powerlifting stuff going on in power and fitness in liverpool. Ste Manuel and Jord McLaughlin both train there and they are hosting a BPF (artist formally known as GBPF) regional comp at the end of January.

Maybe just see how it goes at first, but can't recommend the place enough.

Two deadlift platforms, a competition bench and power cage - never had to wait for any of these in my time going there. Gym opens about 5am to 9pm. Best place for strength training in liverpool.

Power and Fitness has two eleiko bars, a s**t ton of weight and is currently home to a couple of British GBPF Champs.

Can't rate it highly enough.

Squats today in 400°C:

• 5 @ 80kg
• 5 @ 90kg
• 7 @ 100kg

Front squats 3 x 5 @ 50kg

3 sets of leg raises

Nothing glamorous but trying to be sensible and slowly get back into the swing of things.

So I'm back on the horse.

Decided after a three year lay off to get me arse back into my training so I'm not a waste of oxygen and flesh.

Been the gym three times this week and its humbling just how pathetic I am. I was never anywhere close to being strong but now I'm as weak as a kitten with low blood sugar levels.

Only 1 way to head - upwards (I think).

Also, the gym smelled of sweaty human s**t which wasn't good.

Absolutely flabbergasted by the weights I am lifting right now. Shocked is an understatement!
I know they arent heavy weights, relatively speaking, but at my new Bodyweight they are massive, at least for me anyway.

I think I will have 3 all time PB's in the next few weeks at a full weight class lighter.
