I was on diclofenac for about two years or so but the GP has recently insist i change to naproxen (i assume he is worried i will get an ulcer or some such).
The diclofenac were 50mg i think, not sure about the naproxen, i will check. To be honest I only use them on training days and it is usually enough to take the edge off the pain in the knees (not as much in the wrist) but usually bearable. I can certainly feel a difference when i stop using them Unhappy

Yeah those slow release 75mgs were awesome. Rich William's mum is a nurse and used to get them for him... Do not rate naproxen at all. Apparently they're better on the stomach but they gave me in insomnia and did nothing for the pain!

I think Pendlay's guys are genuinely clean...

Never seen Gareth Hives lift before, very impressive.

Interesting seeing Pete lift as an 82kg in '86 then a 100kg in '90! Was he injured cos he failed to stand with 80 and I've never seen him struggle for leg strength.

Loving the vids... Looking forward to seeing more Callard plus (my first coach) Anthony Arthur.

It works all the major muscles groups that you'll need to focus on but has a higher frequency so more overall volume than the second. I think that'll lead to more positive gains for you at this time.

Nice PB's on the bench, squat and deadlift!!!! triple whammy!
I'd just be conscious of doing 1rm pb's every sesh. It'll hammer your recovery. Just a thought, but you could just do 3rep and 5 rep PB's to keep the volume a bit higher but not quite killing yourself?

Agree working to a 3 or 5rm would be a better option long term.

Few more kilos in the DL once you take your shoes off and aren't jet lagged. The back off set was quite light?

Friendly comp at Mark Beck's Crossfit Manchester. Excellent little set up, hopefully Mark will put a good few more of these on, very enjoyable!!!

My lifting wasnt great, but all things considered as good as i could have expected.

Snatch
1st - 90 nice and easy
2nd - 95 nice and easy
3rd - 100[Fail] flew up, should have been nice and easy but I am a nob

Clean and Jerk
1st - 115 easy peasy
2nd - 120 easy peasy
3rd - 130 [Fail]cleaned ok, went a bit dizzy and missed jerk

Pissed off with myself for throwing the 100 snatch away AGAIN

Pleased with the 130 even though a fail as havent even loaded more than 120 on a clean for a few months.

Pull looks strong Jeff given your limited training.

I saw Andy made an appearance too!

They take away more than they add. I.e. the fatigue they induce is greater than the strength stimulus they supply (if OL is your focus).

No doubt... But I would cut out the heavy deadlifting

Unlucky Mish, 100 snatch is a major milestone.
