» Power Clean and Front Squats (Go to post)11-01-2013 @ 23:22
unit, had considered this and there is not a perfect option, but, what happens if you fail a good morning? and surely i'll easily move 170 for 10+ reps on rldl pretty fast?

why not instead of taking 170kg of weight - take 170kg worth of good food, medical support and a spot (presuming you are a sniper)

hahaha, cos the food would go off once it was shipped there, you can't find a surgeon for the money i have and i'm unfortunately not a sniper!!

I'll outline the problem more then...

It looks like I'm moving to Africa to wor for an NGO...

I will only be able to get 170kg weights there. They won't be bumpers, good food, medical support, a spot, access to other gym facilities.

I plan to set up a squat rack thing with some oil drums/shipping containers etc

Need a plan for lower body.

Just a thought but. If you only ever did Power Cleans and Front Squats... Would you get full leg development (strength wise not prettyness)? Or would your hamstrings be lacking?

well mate that depends on you goals, food, time, sleep, experience etc.

I would do this for strongman

Day one

Squat 3x5
Push press 3x5
Rows 3x8

Day two

Dead 3x5
Strict 3x5
Abs 3x12

Not necessarily, but it isn't easy to get s spot to squat heavy. I have wanted to do some olympic lifting for a bit and figure that... 1. If i get better at clean and jerk and snatch it'll help all my lifts. 2. This is the best time of year to try. So basically I'm doing some to see how much I enjoy it and to learn it well
