Thanks Henny. Bands have already helped me with all aspects of the lift - explosiveness off the chest, lock out strength and general technique - and I've only been using them since late September. I know you can't just go on improving, but I feel that another six months of band work will promote a level of improvement that I just won't achieve otherwise. And I'm really just a weak bugger who's worked hard for years and then found out how to work smart!

Not just bands. Board Presses - 2cm,4cm,6cm,8cm and 10cm. You can try to use some chains as well. Works lekker.

Great goals. The russian training cycle is a b**ch. Did it about a year ago. Really f**ked me up, but worked like a charm.

Why don't you lift equipped?

Good work out. But I agree with JC. Get some work in with the big lifts.

Did some squats.

Warm ups - 3 x 50kg, 3 x 90kg, 3 x 130kg, 3 x 150kg.
Then - 3 x 170kg, 2 x 190kg, 1 x 210kg.
Didn't do max effort. Can't afford it now. Just wanted to feel the weight on my shoulders. Depth was good. Squats feeling strong.

Nice workout. Maybe you need some Castle to help with the rehab.

Thanks gents.

Boar, yeah it's from squatting. I use a pretty narrow grip, seams to put a load of stress on the elbows.

I had problems with my right shoulder. Also from to a narrow grip on the bar. Rotator Cuff. When I started moving my grip out it got better. I need to buy myself a safety squat bar. That will take most of the strain of my shoulder.

Thus - I feel you man!

Good luck Henny...Resting up on plenty of Castle and Boerwars sausage?Tongue

f**k bru! If I drink Castle now - I'll not be able to lift. Are you nuts! Boerewors is a good option.

I'm really impressed by your bench. Your a strong bugger and I believe that the 160kg on the 15th is a given. I like the way you use the bands. It really works.
