So after a few sessions of solid squatting followed by terrible benching I make a good bench after failing horribly at squat. My ego completly took over, I shouldnt have jumped to 155 and I shouldnt have done 150. Plus I hadn't eaten well and my warm-up numbers were all wrong. Mistakes made, mistakes learned from.

Finally a great all round squat and bench session! My squat felt good and the depth seemed right which is obviously crucial. I think benching to BAWLA standards takes about 5kg off my bench so it is good to get some pratice in. The final set was meant to be nice and easy, and it was, but was purely to mentally prepare myself for the comp.

Well a lad I used to play with used to go the school Sheridan was at, they upgraded the gym just so Sheridan could train there so I dont doubt he is a strong mofo. However the numbers that are being put about, who knows. Plus who knows if he was using straps, hitching, doing it from blocks etc.

A good session overall. My deadlift was equal to my 3 rep PB so it was good that it wasn't too tough. I also did some overhead stuff for the first time in ages. I figured that it wasn't going to do any harm and it might just boost my shoulder strength for bench a little bit.

My BWLA application and my NW comp application are both in the post now, bring on the 7th of December!

Dude im not suprised your 110x3 deadlift set felt heavy, 60kg-110kg is too big a leap! Other than that, good work on the PRs.

A great session, I think Im getting back to form at the right time. The reason for the dodgy final deadlift was that after 2 reps of my 147.5kg set I realised the un-eveness of the floor was screwing up my form so I stopped the set. I figured since 147.5 went up fairly comfortably I thought I would do the rest of the set at 150.

So a good deadlift then some good squatting. My bench was lame but I wasnt to suprised since my back was tired from the deadlift the day before and warming up on the incline bench was worthless but I had to since I was already running late.
One more week of full training then Im kicking full into competition build-up, going for some 3 rep maxes.
