Ok mate no worries, I know Andy he is part of our ever growing Strongman click within the Army. We are running a British Army (Germany) Strongman comp in the not too distant future, but I think it would be good to arrange an inter services comp maybe next year. The Army Navy rugby is always a good crack and there is no reason why this couldnt be either.

In fact, this is probably worth its own thread to see who in the Forces world would be interested in such a comp?

Hello mate the comp looks good, just one question is this just for the Navy or will you consider letting other Forces compete? Im in the Army and we have a good Strongman following within my garrison. I am currently trying to make Strongman a recognised sport in the Army so that we can get funding and sponsorship in order to compete at civvi comps and i reckon that if a team of Squaddies were to compete against a team of Matlos it could help to popularise the sport within the Forces world.

What do you think?

They do have them out here (as ive just done one) but not being able to speak the language causes a few barriers. Also I wanted to get on the UK scene as I will eventually be returning home and wanted to make a few contacts before then.

moz said:I love it when BB come over to strength sport they still train 'bodyparts' instead of lifts and bang on about how many grams of protein/carbs/fats they need, pmsl.

... Good luck with it btw Happy

lol, dieting in BB is like a religion so it's very hard to just give up on measuring and counting out grams of protein/carbs/fat. But im getting there slowly.

Edstudham, thanks for the advice I have been incorporating alot more compound moves into my routines as of late so hopefully will notice the difference soon.
