29/03/08 training with Ed Clarke session filmed Ed down loading later

cleans and clean pulls mainly coaching


front squats 50x3 50x3 70x3 100x3 120x2 120x2 120x3 (got better) 137x1 strong

first coaching session seemed ok Ed got a pb (Full) front squat 107.5
great training with someone motivated me to do the 137 never dreampt i would do that today

Joni i competed in the World/european masters 2-3 years ago got back to 110-137.5 at 77 class looking to either do more as im heavier (fat c**t) or loose a bit of weigh get down to 85k class and do
120/125-140/150 by next year maybe who knows just competing and enjoying doing so is all i want at moment

i have not got a lot of info but i am hoping to compete in it. i will up date it when i can

im guessing that Dave Sawyer or Clive Young may have something to do with it so if any of you guys know how to contact them direct ?

im hoping to lift in a competition in Derby on 7th July sorry no real details at the moment

then a comp in August at crystal palace as a guest lifter because its an under 23 event - see if i can show the young uns how to do it

checked out your videos too starting position have your back side lower straight back on the push press short sharp drive from the legs and hips faster do technique work on 60 k 5x3 can you squat in lower on the clean ?

nice 180 squats i need to do 3x3 sets too, dont forget 4x3 90 hang snatch too good work load. i started doing some hang lifts too not because i wanted too mind...........neighbours complained house shakes ornaments fall off shelves and dog barks (theirs not ours)when i drop from doing cj may now do hang clean and jerk off racks although jerk not a problem for me
