Boar said:good stuff mate and welcome to the site , lots of strong dudes around , i find it hard to train heavy on my own , but you seem to be doing ok !

did you mention that there arent any powerlifting competitions in your country / near where u live ?

There'r competitions in my country, but not near where i live Unhappy

Anyway, for now i dont think i'm ready to compete, i think i need more time training. I started training seriously on April 2009, i think that with a few years of training i could be a serious competitior.

At the moment, i'm my own competition! My goal is to beat myself lol

Ok, so i decided to log my workouts here because on my own logs i only write the weavyest set, not everything. Here i will post the complete workout.

I have been doing 5/3/1 for a while but now i decided to keep doing my own routine which suits better for my needs and energy levels.

I'm light weight and i dont eat that much so high reps training is out of the question. My training method is low reps, max 5RM and less.

I based my training on the Bulgarian training method but way less volume.
I work out to my heavyest 5RM of the day, of course the last set is gonna be less than 5RM. And that's all.

Yesterday i did 210kg x 15 rack pulls just playing arround, but because of that, next week i will do less deadlifts.

Tomorrow i will start posting the workouts.

» How do you work out your 1 rep max... (Go to post)22-08-2010 @ 13:55
just do your 5x5 weight for one set, then the next set, add 10lbs more and do 5 reps, then when the 5 reps untill you fail at doing 5. If you do more than 3 reps, add 10lbs more and go for a single. If you do less, add 5lbs and go for a single.

HI, well, i'm trying to understand by when i deadlift i cant seem to keep my shins perpendicular with the floor. I see people pulling in an almost perfect perpendicular plane with the floor like this dude:

But in my case, my shins are not perpendicular and i move too much... what i'm doing wrong?

Picture the bar going up, many, many times! and then do it!
This vid has a subliminal message, which is: - JUST DO IT! - Grin

This is a video i did with a compilations of many many deadlifts, only the lift-off and lockout. Happy

Bar is 8kg + 2 plates of 1.25kg to make the bar ~10kg. The rest are 20kg plates.

Fatpete said:May I ask why you decided to write "raw" in capital letters in the thread title? Do you think us too dim to realize that you had very few clothes on ?

hahahahahah I train shirtless because is hot in there and because i dont want to wash so many clothes after training. I'm lazy.

Luuuuuukey said:Really impressive and obviously better than I manage at a similar bodyweight.

But, calling them miracle reps.

Really?

Because only the day before that i got 1 rep with that weight, so it was a 2RM PR in only 24 hours after getting 1 rep.
