I cant see any reason why you use or needed them , mabie a crazy fashion statement , for me thats a super raw deadlift triple

Thats dependant on federation

I for one wouldnt consider a lift raw if wraps were used

Agreed, a lot of lifts got passed that shouldn't have

Squat
worked up to 120kg*5 (pain free)

several sets of pause squats at 60 kg

and then did a bit of spotting. Highlight of the day was witnessing a deep and easy 4 times bodyweight squat.

I thought having someone step on your foot with 215kg on the bar was your highlight

I wash all my kit (suits, wraps, shirts) a few days before a comp in warm water and titan wash

I wash my singlet every weekend, but only because I train in it

ok sorry. Happy at least it was raw Grin I didn't count reps.

judging by the smell you left behind you were probably concentrating hard on not s**tting yourself!

tz1127 said:another boooooooring session; although its probably the first pain-free (knees) session in a month, so I'm quite happy.

Squat

worked up to a hyoooge 105kg*5 squat

Bench (speed work)

worked up to 80kg for several reps

and then did some pointless assistance work and had a discussion with lads at the gym; did some serious overthinking and rehashed some old played-out arguements on various typical lifting topics Grin

Actually you only managed 105kg x 4.

You need years and years of consistent hard work, not little tricks and crazy routines. Phil Richard (301kg squat, 195kg bench, 250kg deadlift & 735kg total) at the same bodyweight as you is a great example of what 20 years of basic hard work can achieve.

And phil didn't use lots of little tricks and crazy routines, just consistent hard work

if your not getting any further ever consider that your diet needs attention, or that you need more rest?

Thinking is not a bad thing, if you want to achieve great things you need not only a strong body, but a strong mind.
How do you think people write routines? they think!

Yeah but you're seriously over complicating it

Just f**king load a bar and lift mate.

lol is not doing as many reps as you can. That would be traiing to failure. What i'm saying here is how to target a specific rep range.
If you want to find your 3 reps max, i say you try 4 reps until you fail a rep, that will make you do 3.
The first few sets is going to be an easy task and you will have a lot more in the tank, but the idea is to find the RM not to do as many reps as you can.

The flaw with that is that you could end up doing so many sets trying to find the weight which you fail on the 4th with that you'll fatigue and won't get a true 3RM from strength failure but rather from fatigue

Mate you need to stop trying to over complicate things and just train
