Yeah that is strange, at 82kg I can't get in my 38 anymore. And that's a tall 82kg as well...

I'm not short either, just shy of 6 foot. it is a very tight suit though (by choice) I also have a 40 suit which is looser, the recommended size for my weight is far too loose though.

800 @ 90 will either win you the British or get you bloody close.

Thanks

I think when the new weight classes come in I'll stick with the 93kg class, was considering the 105kg class, but I feel too uncomfortable at anything past 95kg

I think by the end of 2011 I could probably manage those targets, but i'd be fairly happy if I'm within 20kg of each

Size 35 Inzer Max DL deadlift suit - worn once - £40

anyone know if one of these would be any good for a hunky 95kg lifter?

tried googling to look at size charts but cant find a lot

thanks

I've deadlifted in a 35 inzer hardcore, which is pretty much the same as the maxdl, I liked deadlifting in it

I now deadlift in a 40 titan centurion, I prefer the titan, much better pop from the floor

i think for that price get both of them and see which you prefer

be careful of the sizing they can be pretty off if you're not of average build for the size

for example

I currently weigh about 95-96kg and I use a size 38 squat suit (by their sizing thats for a 75kg lifter)

Trained deadlifts last night, at a crappy fitness club, as our old gym closed down

the bars and plates they had were awful but I still managed to get 2 PB's

First up did 225, came up nice and easy so went for 227.5kg/500lbs, did 2 singles on that, first once was fairly fast and easy, second was more of a grinder but I don't think my set up was as good with that one.

gonna go for 230kg next week

I hate to come off as an armchair expert because I'm piss weak... but have you thought of doing a little dip in the hole and drop quicker to deceive judges? A very slow descent makes it too easy for anal judges to see depth.

Tony did you see the squats? the first one was clearly in

however tom maybe you benefit from going deeper, that second one seems to come up much better then the first

Cheers mate, you were the one who called 350kg for us by the end of this year, seems spot on to me! Seems as we've done the same training you must be pretty hopeful you'll pull the same too?
Squat and bench? I don't know, I really got the impression that I wasn't very popular at all. I confirmed with the refs, my first one WAS failed on depth. This isn't really an indication of IPF depth standards, or even the depth standards on the day as much much higher squats were getting passed. I really don't have an answer for it other than maybe they just didn't like me.

Defiantly the ponytail

Or maybe they were mates of Rick Meldon lol

Good work mate

Can't figure out why they failed the first squat

Probably something to do with that ponytail... I'd have failed you for it too Tongue

The benches tonight looked fairly good, your technique has improved loads from a few months ago.

Think you should have stayed heavy and not done a deload though

I had to rotate the clip, I think it may have distorted the vid a bit, but on comparing it with the original it doesn't look much different

Cheers
» Speed Benching/Pulling etc... does this seriously works? (Go to post)17-11-2010 @ 15:47
Tom_Martin said:I have no idea how this works. I don't ever dedicate a session to speed work, I justdo all my warm up sets as fast as possible. If I just did speed work I'd feel like I'd just warmed up then gone home.

I do this too

make all my warm ups as speedy as possible.
I don't do a day of for example 10 singles at 50% or anything
