Re. the impending Grappler arrival - will you be stocking the handles that are often used with this (slip over the end of the bar) - there's a one arm row type handle and some v-handles for twisty stuff ! ?

» Driving in London (Go to post)18-07-2011 @ 20:02
I drive regularly - I live 20 miles away and travel into North London.

I use the train as often as possible - 10-15 min drive to the station, then 25 mins on the train.

Driving home on Saturday lunchtime (trains are awful at the weekend) - 2 and a half hours to get home - Sunday was about 1 and a half hours - the bulk of this is getting to the outskirts of London.

Buses and trains/tubes are pretty regular though - loads more so than where I live.

Did you put something on facebook that looked like a grappler ?

Or did I imagine that ? Are they likely to arrive ? Cost ?

My customer review for recent purchases. The bar is top notch - this will be the bar I get some lifetime PBs on - this year, it's solid the knurling is ok but not brutal and it looks as sexy as hell. Spring collars do their job (what else can you say)and the rubber mats have cut up easily with a stanley knife, look great, provide a nice firm lifting and standing surface (not too springy) and clean up nicely too - a little bit of 12 or 18mm ply underneath and it'll be a platform fit for a king - I've already deadlifted without the ply and they've taken the load nicely.
» Standard sized weight plates (Go to post)06-07-2011 @ 06:45
Good Morning - I've just "upgraded" my weights collection at home to Olympic sized plates and have some standard sized plates that will be redundant.

Does anybody want/need some standard (1 inch hole) plates - I have 4 x 25's, some 15's, 10's and a few others (I'd need to double check what I've got - plus I want to keep a small amount for my boys) - I could provide a "set" of about 150-180kg plus a standard bar if wanted.

The 25's are chunky and smaller in diameter than "normal" plates (they are 'World of Health' brand)

A small amount of rust will be provided free of charge.

Sensible offers here please(before I look at eBay) - they would have to be collected from St.Albans in Hertfordshire - I'm in no great rush.

Bar and collars arrived super quick - I'm not likely to be able to use either for a few days ... I'm excited

My friend Lloyd Strang owns MK Bodyworks - he's a great powerlifter, I've not been to his gym but it'd be worth chatting to him

I'm building it at the moment ... Mainly so I can train whenever my schedule allows ... Free time for me might be at midnight or four in the morning ... I never can tell
