Its not a 130 stone for you. If people don't like it then don't do the comp. It's not a first timers comp its a novice.
120 for 105 aint too heavy at all if they had 165 in normal 105 qualifier.
People should get in the gym instead of moaning

Yeah its a 140! Never mentioned owt about a first timers comp, and the comp name yorkshires novice kinda teld me it was a novice,

Not really moaning, just seems the weights are going up and up, so close to date, but that's what you want to do, then we'll just have to find some way of shifting the damn things to make it competetive

Any chance of using a cherry picker??

130kg stone is way heavier than what I've been aiming for, looks like ill have to raise my game on other events, and leave the stone on the ground for the next guyRoll-Eyes

GATES said:Strongman is supposed to be a challange what's point if every one can lift it an get millions of reps?

Dint see people moaning about the car deadlift been heavier at future champs every one just got on with it.

True lee, but also this is a novice event, and the stones look really heavy for that, and a few reps for the crowd is better then no reps,

I would say your all perfectly fine going in a novice comp If you feel that is still your level .. This was a first timers after all .. I would urge lads to go and try and challenge themselves as much as they can .. The top 3-4 u90kg guys should without doubt do the proper u90kg circuit this year ..
I think a Caged Steel Vs O.S.G Novice comp with home and away legs would be a step forward for our clubs .. Maybe me and Graham will have a chat .

That sounds Awesome!!

What you don't do it lol, if I took my shirt I would get darted my ere tagged and threw in a swimming pool to keep my skin wet lol,
My fav one so far is the heavy deadlift, half way up the and out comes the biggest fart the beat bit is trying to carry on like you didn't know it was you hehehe,

Ha ha, what's better is when your training partner is deadlifting straight after

Apart from the usual curling in racks and turning stiiflegged deadlifting into a kinda deadlift/curl/wristcurl/shrug

Some douche today was shrugging 50kg with bad form ten was taking his short off between sets to check them out, then when I thought it was all over, he carried a 20kg plate slammed it on the ground, took his shirt of again and started upright rowing, Tongue

hi guys

The first week back after new year i overworked my lower back, the pain gradualy come on like DOMS, and since then the pain hasnt gone!! Its moved from left lower lat, to right across the lower back. I can move once i get going, and have been taking it easy in the gym. Also after about 8 atempts i can touch my toes with a pain in the hamstrings.

Now over head pressing and front/zerchar squats dont seem to aggrivate it but light deadlifts do, I've put it down to really bad doms, or muscle imbalance

Any other guys get this or had this problem? and what did ya do to help recovery??
