Had a good fun session tonight.

SKWATZ - 3x6@160 raw, 1x6 front @100 raw

BENCH - 5x6@100, 1x6@102.5, 35@50 then a few sets of close grip

The main benching was VERY easy tonight - decided since it's funtime to go back to my old volume session type plan. My triceps were given a beasting with the high rep set followed by uber-close sets (again with just 50k). Been a long time since I last did a bench burn out set. My right arm didn't fade or die so much as just stopped working - think the lactate build up just prevented any motor units doing their jobs. Either that or my CNS / neurons decided that in the words of Bill Paxton "game over man, game over!"

Was good getting the chance of a proper catch up with Ross tonight and El Wiege was strong tonight!

Another decent wee session today.

Bench 6@110, 5@120, 2@130

Dumbell press 8@27.5, 8@32.5

Sumo deads (all raw) 4@155, 4@160

Glute ham raises 3x8 bodyweight 3x8 with 5k plate held at arms length

Front squat 6@100

Started back today as I was able to put all my weight on my ankle again Happy

Dumbell shoulder press - 8@26, 8@30, 9@34(PB) Felt like there was a tenth there as well...

Sumo Deads - A nice easy 4@150 beltless after my 2 warm up sets.

Barbell Rows - 12@70, 2x8@90

Cardio (yes you read right) 10 mins interval on concept 2.

Some nice stretching to finish and a set of headstand abs just for the hell of it.

All my training now is purely for fun - no comps for a long time to come. A nice wee session to ease back in. Happy

Equalled my pb triple on deads tonight and then did a double only 5k off my pb as well.
Equalled my pb with the seated dumbell press with the 34k bells then stretched off and arsed about doing headstands and trying to press up into a handstand. Getting there.

Squats were a bit better tonight, but typical of the run up to competition.

Bench - was all going well, nearly hit a pb triple then on 2nd attempt on 2nd rep my left shoulder rolled / buckled and things weren't so good. Put the weight down to 115 and got a pb with 7 reps.

Clean and jerk / clean and press to finish. Up to 75k now, so small increases each week it would seem. Happy

The whole thing selling for $31.56 on Amazon mate. The GB site doesn't stock it, but I'd say you're probably best getting it from someone like them - you'll get a guarantee of sorts with it. I'd think getting the whole thing at that price would be worthwhile and you could get it fitted by almost anyone then.

The set of 3 was with 115 dude. All in all - very good considering nowhere near as much rest as normal.

The incline dumbells were done with 26k bells.

Aye, you might be away to hide in the bushes, but not to stay quiet...

Haha - been a long time since I last did Oly work (almost 20 years ago) and have been too fearful to do it with my weak assed left delt. It's getting better now, so thought I'd give it a go. See if I can beat my pb from years ago of 100k in the next few months. LOL

As far as the snatch is concerned, not gonna be doing it, because that would throw the shoulder out for sure. Well, maybe with an empty bar it'd be ok...

Soon as the Irish comp is out the way I'm changing to fun training again - sod numbers, it's all about the lolz.

Worst clean of the day? That was the BEST clean of the day. See if weightlifting involved going for a walk after lifting the weight, it'd be far more entertaining.

Good work rate tonight chap! I agree - the Oly stuff is proving more fun just now... Something something something dark side, something something something...COMPLETE!

The 160 will happen from the approach you're working on just now bro. Just be patient - the volume is lower than most forms of squat training, but it works. Look at how Martin progressed on it. (and me for that matter)

I'm seriously thinking of not doing the comp on the 31st. If I don't I'll ref though, so will be there either way - gotta see you at your first comp as a lifter afterall Happy
