Im talking throws, short sprints, slj, multi-jumps in a row. But the power clean, theres always debates there because most athletes like to lie and have no proof. Ive done 177.5 but i have no proof, but i have loads of other vids.
If you have seen better from athletes, then they should be lifters like i should be. Unless your talking a 5' 50kg guy? Harry aa is meant to be the most impressive with evidence 170@87?. Few guys like edwards, colin jackson, this coach get to double BW or near and all weighed 70-75, but again no proof. Christian olsson 147.5 and weighs about 80. Theres a list on another forum of notable athletes and Edwards was the best P-W (apparently), but his throws and slj were average. There was a USA guy from 10-15 years ago who ran 10.1, some of the guys say he did a 170 @ 88? i think. Most athletes chase the p.clean numbers to no avail, thanks to Edwards.

Id be interested to know what youve done on throws and multi jump sequences....i dont agree that a certain weight lifted should dictate that an athlete should be a lifter, and vice versa, perhaps more focus in other areas ie plyos, technical running model, speed strength dominant exercises to hit the appropritae part of the FV curve.

what this other forum please?

Sparrow i do think you somewhat contradict yourself, although i respect your sticking up for how you believe things are...

for example, you said:

I fully appreciate that the best athletes in the World are at the Olympic Games

followed by:

Show me a competition anywhere in the world that does a better job of finding the most well-rounded athlete on the planet

now i know youve mentioned 'well rounded' in there, but even so I find contradiction there, and have to disagree, the best rounded ATHLETES are at the Olympics and are decathletes for me. The level of athleticism and their skill level for me far exceed the skills and athetic requirements ive seen in the highest levels of crossfit.

Perhaps a marketing claim of being the 'fittest' all round is understandable, but athleticism should not be mixed in such a way with this term, in the context of the topic.

Surprised more people haven't answered this.
But when you say sport, does it have to be one of the lifting sports?
