as the heading suggests........given up trying to self diagnose, and cant afford a physio. did something to it 3-4 weeks ago. Rested it apart from the occasional light press (just to see if its getting better). Still doing other stuff like squats, deads and event stuff. I don't think its a rotator cuff thing, as I only get pain when I rais e my arm as if doing lateral raise, and also pressing (flat, incline and overhead). My basic question is has anyone had this, so should I train through the pain just completely rest it...its really starting to do my head in cheers

brownbear said:Does anyone have any experience with smolov. I'm not thinking of doing it but it appears the case its obviously a short term strategy and perhaps one would struggle afterwards when returning to normal training I used it for strict press because of a leg injury and it put 10k on in 3 weeks..

» progresion on accesory lifts? (Go to post) | 25-08-2013 @ 11:10
ok so im guesing many lifters (with an internet connection), progress in many main lifts like strict press, ,deads and squat using some tried and tested methods. Methods such as westide, wendlers 5/3/1, the cube and forced entry. When making these progresions do you also progress your accessory movements? If so do you stick to increasing % over weeks? or reps? Im toying with the idea of using the 5/3/1 model on 2 movements after my main lift. But using the cube method for my main lifts..has anybody tried this? |
