OH work today- Strict OH Press: 10x bar 10x bar 5x 50kg 3x 57.5kg 4x 65kg Push Press: 1x 80kg 1x 85kg (PR) 2x 85kg (PR) 2x 85kg Cleaned from floor before press 1 Arm Lat pulldowns: 2x 70kg 2x 70kg 3x 65kg 3x 65kg 3x 65kg same both arms Dips: 7x BW+20kg 7x BW+20kg 7x BW+20kg 7x BW+20kg 6x BW+20kg Chins: 5x BW+20kg 5x BW+20kg 4x BW+20kg 1x BW+30kg 1x BW+40kg (Just failed) Very pleased, Push press was a lot better than I expected it to be, only tried it 4 time before now. Want it up to 100kg before the comp in September. | |||

Bench today- Bench Press: 1x15 bar; 1x5 60kg; 1x3 70kg; 1x3 80kg; 1x7 90kg Dumbell press (60 degree bench)- 5x10 22kg Bent Over Dumbbell row: 2x10 40kg; 3x15 32kg Close Grip Bench: 3x10 60kg Started Tabata rowing earlier this week, plan is twice a week on off days... it put me on my ass! | |||

Cheers, I'll try this next week and see how it goes. Deadlift: 1x10 bar; 1x10 60kg, 1x3 135kg; 1x3 155kg; 1x7 175kg (think this may be a PR) Good mornings: 5x10 85kg Hanging leg raises: 3x5 Weighted Crunches: 3x10 Good sesh, the Deads felt easy and I had a bit left in the tank at on the last set. Reckon I'll be good for 220kg soon. | |||

Trying to stick at Wendlers 5/3/1 (roughly...)Currently around about 85kg (depending on the day) Lifts are- DL- 207.5 Sq- 170 Bench- 107.5 Strict OH Press- 75 Tested my 1RM about 6 weeks ago before starting the 5/3/1 Today is Squat Day- Back squat (14" box)- 2x10 bar; 1x7 60kg; 1x5 100kg; 1x5 120kg; 1x7 140kg Cleans: 1x5 60kg; 2x1 90kg(PR); 2x1 95kg (PR); 1x2 90kg; 3x7 60kg Leg curls: 1x7 85kg; 4x7 80kg Doing a 4 day split. | |||

Evenin all, I'm new here and have been doing a bit of reading. Based up in Aberdeen and I'm looking at trying out for U90 strongman at some point. Looking around the logs, most of the numbers people here a shifting seem massive to me (not sure if they're equiped or not), So....what kind of level do I need to be at to be ready to go into a novice comp? At the mo I'm ~83kg and my lifts are- DL- 207.5 Squat- 170 Bench- 107.5 OH (strict)- 75 (just started this a few months ago) (Unequipped & only use my belt for PR attempts) My OH is pretty feeble at the moment. Any comments much appreciated. Cheers |
