Unit20 Novice comp today, congrats to Scott (Thosebananas) and Iain (ITRG), I came last but was happy with my performance (mostly)

All events 75 seconds.
90kg Log- no rep, cleaned easy enough, no where near press though. Only tried log once before, wanted 1 rep but couldn't get my legs into it.
227.5kg 15" dead, reps - got 4 reps (I think). Well pleased as I've only got 215 from the floor before (never tried 15" either)
Stones, 100, 110(?), 128.5(?), 135(?)- only got the first one. First time doing stones, no technique- my arms have lost most of their skin and now sting like a b**ch.
Finger- 1 rep, hard as f**k!
135kg farmers Hold- 36 seconds, good for 4th place so well chuffed.

Some event training and I'll be on my way!

Cheers to Unit 20 and all the spotters etc. Good to meet every one & put names to faces- great crowd, cracking weather and a great day. Can't wait till next time (I'll hopefully know what I'm doing!)

Last heavy session before the Unit20 comp. Pleased with the last 6 weeks progress, hopefully I'll get no non-reps! No proper events training but I'm sure I'll pick it up on the day....

Hmmmm, my squats been suffering since I dropped the volume, may give this a try after my comp to see if i can get back on form.

2x 107.5kg PR (got 3 but I think the spotter touched it even if he said he didn't....)

Done. Squating needs more attention, keep on changing stance and can't find whats best.

Cheers Youngy, big fan of weighted chins, would like to work up to a 1 armed chin/pull-up at some point.

Dealdlift:

4x 207.5KG PR

Speed 6" deficit deadlifts:
3x 150kg
3x 150kg
3x 150kg

Was late getting to the Gym so only had 25 mins. Happy with the PR as my 1RM when I started this journal 2 & a half months ago was 207.5kg.

Weights up to ~88kg.
