Few updates for June;
Texas Power Bars - price has gone up to £329 for these badboys. Still by far the cheapest UK supplier, but unfortunately the sub £300 price was not sustainable, partly due to some changes in the business, and also a very weak pound, which is crippling all U.S. imports at the moment.
Shoes - still awaiting inspection, likely to ship out this week to arrive next week.
Double ply sleeves - due for completion mid June and with us by the end of the month. These are bigger sizes, and with measurements as specified by myself, so they taper slightly less, as a lot of the issues seemed to be with people getting them over their calves/forearms. These will go up to crazy big size, and I challenge anyone to not be able to get into them Happy
Offers - Full range of tacky 10% off for the month. Big Elites are currently out of stock unfortunately, but hoping to have more in around 3 weeks time.
Stalls - Will have one at the British weightlifting in Kilmarnock on the 26th June. If anyone's there come and say hello, and/or buy some stuff off me Happy


I had the yellow sleeves off you a while back. I ordered the wrong size an xl pair, but i gave them to my mate. Then i had some XXL ones which were still tight however i stretched them alot.. now they are super tight. I was literally having to use my whole body to get them on... untill i discovered if i rub the insides with chalk they slip right on nice and easy!!

right chest tonite i would love 175 kg x 3 on the bench. last week i did 170 x 3 on my second set so its possible or if the warm ups feels heavy i will do 172.5 kg x 3.
last night was feeling s**t really tired and achey but ok now. Ive also come the conclusion im just not eating enough. need to bump the cals to 5000 without fail

ok my lower back strength still isnt as strong as i believe it was before my injury before the injury i could do 215 kg x 10 which would of put my max around 275... but im getting there weights are feeling lighter.. but speed of the floor is pathetic its so hard getting the weight to the knee even though my leg strength has increased... i really am confused. hopefully the good mornings will strengthen my core and help

shoulders wasent great today, my roters were aching like hell and sending dull aches down both arms which meant i just couldnt get in the zone. i tied last weeks strict militerys with 90 kg x 7, but got a pb on upright rows 80 kg x 10 but the form was terrible lol...

^^^ seems like a really down to earth guy, great advice aswell regarding not rushing things. I really hope he can put injury problems behind him.

I know what you mean, but theres nothing normal about your lifting -very strong- Great total at any bodyweight. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Sam if i can get my total up to 700 kg @ under 102 kg bodyweight i will be stoked, i think i have more on the bench and squat, and really hope my deadlift starts to responds.

might aswell update my goals as im hitting nice pbs. by the end of 2010.

ALL RAW
bench press 195 kg touch and go. 187.5 paused
squat: 245 kg
deadlift: 295 kg

The first time ever i feel my deadlift is getting weak compared with my squat.
Since i injured my back i seem to have lost all confidence. However 230 kg felt very light and fast on reps last week, so i might bump the weight up to 250 kg and see what i can do. Or i will try for a pb with doubled mini bands. At one time my deadlift was 65 kg higher than my squat! i would love that right now! considering i hit 265 kg 6 months back i should be well on the way to 285.. unfortunalty i think id be lucky to hit 270.

That would of been so cool, i really hope he isnt injured again. How soul destroying would that be after all the previous ones?! maybe he should gravitate more towards powerlifting. Either way he seems like a decent Americain strongman.. most are quite opinionated. lol.

not bad i put 230 kg on my squat total by mistake, im going to leave it there as i will hit 235 kg next week. 227.5 was prity easy considering id been using bands before hand.

Very off on the front squats at the moment cant seem to get back into them!
