I get what you mean with the bigger weights sometimes but it's all in you mind ain't it and have to learn a way to surpass the negativity and just go in and give it your all. yeah thanks thats a really good idea, i never thought to put somthing under the cage! i work for an engineering company aswell so im sure one of the lads can find me a piece of flat bar to put underneath. good4gains said: What extra stress do your bands add on? That is also some great progress on your push press and bet the 130 would of went up if you done it before the 10 @ 100kg. The bands are just mini bands 5 lbs at the bottom and 35 lbs at the top for each band, so weight at the top was 250 kg ish. When i hit 210 kg + the red bands i got 230 kg without them, so generally i can do 20 kg extra when i take the bands away so 240 should be on. The main thing which i think is a killer is that my bands are angled so that they are connected to the rack at the bottom and are connected to the bar at an angle which not just pulls the bar down, but also pulls it forward meaning my core has to work harder to stay upright. I can honestly say the bands have contributed to my decent gains on the squat as im not taking any additional supps or doing anything different to what i was doing a year ago.. when my squat was wank. and as for the push press i think i could proabably do 105 kg x 10, so should be able to max around 135 but as soon as i see the weight on the bar i start having douhts and losing confidence.. it took me 6 months to nail 120 kg from the first time i tried it.. even though shoulder strength was up ALOT, after the 6 months. | |||

14/6/10 shoulders push press 60 kg x 10 70 kg x 4 80 kg x 3 90 kg x 3 100 kg x 10 pb!!!!!!! 130 kg x fail -not too far away seated db militery press 46 kg dumbells x 12/15 12/12 12/12 lat raises 3 x 10 not bad, however wasent feeling that motivated today and lost interest very quickly... i need a set routine and somthing to work for.. still 100 kg x 10 was easy on push press it was raw aswell no sleeves nor wrist wraps... i was holding my breath so cardio gave in first i need some bigger dumbells at the gym.. they ony go to 46 kgs | |||

Keep up the good work! yeah too be fair i might not be pushing myself quite as hard as i should on squats, so im 15 lbs away from 600 thats my short term aim 600 withen 4 weeks!! i think it should happen as im going to be working on rack pulls from the knee, and usually when i do these my deadlifts comes on alot.. 265 is actually disapointing for me kind of as i hit 260 like 6 months ago, and was pulling 210 kg x 10 9 weeks ago, which would put me at a max of 270 plus i believe. I then injured my back ''trying'' to get 215 x 10, and seemed to lose alot of core and lower back strength even though the the injury cleared withen 3 weeks.. very strange but i learnt my lesson. Dont deadlift like a bull in a china shop. | |||
