Good session yesterday (Tue 22) Jerk 60x2 70x2 82.5x2 82.5x2 82.5x2 Full cleans 60x2 80x2 100x2 107x1 111x1 (PB) Snatch pulls 80x3 80x3 80x3 OH squat 40x3 50x3 50x3 Core to finish Hurt my ankle in work last night. f**king annoying as i have a Uni comp in about 10 days. Managed to train nontheless (wed 23) Squat 70x5 90x5 100x3 100x3 100x3 Snatch pulls - loads on 40kg then some more on 50kg Ankle felt ok so tried some snatch balance on 40kg Full snatch Loads on 40kg - ankle felt fine Loads on 50kg - ankle was ok still Just worked on technique really. Didn't want to make it any worse. Happy with the session anyway. | |||

I just eat s**t really, calorie dense foods and lots of liquids. Iron bru or pepsi max is a good cure. Plenty of juice to wash down fry ups, chocolate and anything else i can find in my pathetically stocked student fridge | |||

Last few weeks had some really good training sessions. Attempted some 2 rep maxes and it went well. This is Fridays session... Snatch 50x2 55x2 60x2 64x2 66x2 (made up, BW) Clean and Jerk 60x2 70x2 80x2 90x1 (fail) felt i had it in me so tried again 90x2 Ended the session with some assistance exercises. Went to the gym in the evening aswell for my w/l club program. Power cleans (singles) 60 60 70 70 80 70 Snatch (from rack)- f**ked from earlier so kept it light concentrating on technique 40x4 50x3 50x2 50x1 Front squat 70x3 80x3 90x2 100x2 100x2 Push press (again f**ked) 60 70 70 80 Overall a very good training day. Had yesterday off and today i've got squats, jerks, clean pulls, clean and jerks (from rack) and close hand snatching. Gonna throw some core in aswell. | |||

Its been a while, working abroad has not been good for training not gonna lie. 3 months as a rep as left me a tad bit weaker than i was before although im expecting some good results over the next few weeks. In uni now doing strength and conditioning, signing up to the weightlifting and powerlifting teams. As part of the course we're actually gonna be examined on weightlifting technique at christmas in a competition. So from now until then will be a lot of serious training! watch this space! |
