But you did make me think of another point. Drugs. PEDs will increase protein synthesis substantially, and as such, optimal protein/BCAA requirements. In this case, they may be beneficial. We wouldn't really know because not many studies will have compared natural and unnatural lifters due to ethics/legal issues.
But for natural athletes, that are consuming more than adequate amounts of BCAA rich foods, they are already getting a significant surplus of BCAAs without expensive supplementation.
This is not like creatine, which has been shown conclusively to have beneficial effects at super-physiological doses. BCAA supplementation has NOT been shown to have benefits at super-physiological doses. So that leaves us with marketing as 'evidence'.


Agreed. There are so many gimmicks out there based on little/no scientific evidence. Nothing wrong with good old protein and creatine. And of course the best supplement you can get FOOD

Now ive got my gym sorted its an incentive to train more as i only have to go into the garage and getting food in before work etc is a lot easier.

Whats the best split for twice a day training? I HATE cardio and im trying to gain weight so i dont think itll be worth my while.

Anyone have any experience in this area??

Get my deadlift over 200kg. If possible hit 200 by my birthday in march.
