anyone see this on eurosport the other day? some highlights for me were bennis 500kg hummer tyre deadlift and koklyaev power cleaning and squat cleaning the apollons axle like it was nothing! shame they decided to invite random yoo ess ayy athletes and no brits. I would like to see what felix would do on the hummer deadlift.

I did something similar at the back end of last year and put 15kg on my dl in 4 weeks so I know that kind of thing can work. I tried it again and burnt out though! will maybe have another crack at it through the winter months.

both felt f**ked mate. How did you do the pin method? As in, to be able to get deep enough i needed to stand on a high stack of plates, but getting on the plates with the weight hanging was a pain, or to squat deep and attach the belt in the bottom position. Just couldnt get it to work. milsys idea sounds like a good one though, will try that next time and get some proper squatting done!

I got 4 breeze blocks (2 for each foot) and put them in front of the rack where the chin up handles are. connected to the pin and then held on to the handles and pulled/pushed myself up into position on the blocks. if you use blocks make sure theyre wide enough apart though or the plates can knock into them. I tried lots of different setups with the belt and this was the best one I found.
