Bench. 2 x 10 x 20 8 x 60 6 x 80 3 x 95 2 x 105 1 x 105 Failed 2nd press. 2 x 105 3 x 5 x 85 I generally un-rack and re-rack without spotters when i think that it's going to be comfortable. Today i was left in the embarrassing position of having to cry "help" when the second 105 press just got stuck on my chest... | |||

Wednesday 9th June. 13 lifters at the Farm, that must be some kind of record for a Wednesday. Weighed in at 120.20kg. Not good! This was a bad day, stiflingly warm and muggy, very sweaty palms not helping, plus the incompetent people running the college forgot to open the doors again, thats' twice in the last three sessions we've been locked out for over 30 minutes. Deadlifts. 2 x 5 x 70 4 x 100 3 x 120 2 x 140 1 x 160 1 x 175 came up okay but could feel the bar slipping. 1 x 185 came up okay but bar slipped out of my sweaty palms just after lockout. 3 x 140 Not happy. Friday 4th June. Six lifters at the Farm, quiet for a Friday. Weighed in at 120.9kg, diet still not going to plan! Somehow the college "forgot" to open the doors today we we all stood outside for 30 minutes whilst a man with keys was hunted down. Consequently the session was all a little rushed. Deadlifts. 2 x 5 x 70 4 x 100 3 x 125 2 x 150 1 x 175 1 x 180 2 x 150 3 x 130 No problems, still taking them steady, no point in following a plan until i'm back to something resembling a powerlifter. Bench. 2 x 10 x 20 8 x 60 5 x 80 2 x 92.5 1 x 105 1 x 105 Failed to lock out on weaker right side. 1 x 100 3 x 90 3 x 5 x 75 Close Grip. Not sure why the 2nd 105 failed, probably not enough rest between lifts. |
