Funky_monkey said:Congrats on achieving (and surpassing) the Qualifying Total! What's the long story behind the 116kg? Come on, Ian, you know better than that!

My wife was away for the weekend but her parting shot was that there was food in the fridge!

As i was busy working on Friday afternoon i looked into said fridge to discover a packet of what we know as fish sticks, which i duly opened and consumed, some minutes later i noticed that the sell by date was over three weeks previous!

As a consequence, i spent most of the night in the smallest room giving until their was nothing left to give.

In all honesty I genuinely thought that i might need to drop out of the event.
On the positive side, i dropped 2kg overnight.

Monday 20th September.

Just three lifters at the Farm tonight, well 2.5 if you consider that Gordon only ever benches and curls!

Weighed in at 117.9kg, so i've put on 2kg since weighing in on Saturday.

Squat.
2 x 5 x 20
5 x 60
4 x 80
3 x 100
2 x 120
1 x 130
Back feeling really sore so left it there.

Bench.
2 x 10 x 20
8 x 60
5 x 80
3 x 100
1 x 110
1 x 115
5 x 100
3 x 5 x 90 Close Grip.
No problems, should'nt have bottled out of that 120 on Saturday.

Strict OHP.
5 x 20
5 x 30
5 x 40
5 x 50

I've always found competing stressful Bill, right up to the point where that first squat gets 3 white lights!
