really excellent squatting haydn. It looks like the squat and deads are flying up. Seems a little bit tougher on the bench?
Do you have very long levers cos you seem very tall on the vid?

Lots of observations today:

1: 9 days since last proper session (de-load week became basically 9 days where I couldn't get to the gym)
2: I had lost my grove on the squat a bit. I was sitting back less and pushing knees forward more which is no way good for me; I need to remember to SIT BACK
3: Box squats are an interesting exercise
4: My knees hurt like buggery on the first few reps of front squats-not sure why as yet; i'll have a ponder.
5: Knee wraps hurt! (but in a good way)

Some of you may have noticed the routine change (or not, I may be talking to thin air-it wouldn't be the first timeGrin ). I am basically keeping the same set/rep scheme on the same movements but splitting it up differently and adding in some assistance work. I'll perhaps outline the thinking/idiocy behind this at some later point.

Back tomorrow with bench, shoulders and assistance.

I was set for 95 on the bench and 142 on the squats, but I felt good and just bumped it up.

I think now would be a good time for a deload week. I will do Saturday and Tuesday a light full-body workout and then get back to heavy progression at the end of next week. All is good.

hi Mish,
sorry to hear the desire isn't really there at the minute. Training is all about highs and lows though isn't it?

On another subject, what about doing a powerlifting comp for a change? I'm going to do one next year I think, if I can find something over here.

The only link I can find at the minute is this, although it doesn't have any comp links. Have a look and let me know what you think.

Allez, courage mon pote.

didn't have time to update yesterday; It was:

squat 102kg
5
5
5

bench 94kg
2!!!
5
5
5

I wasn't mentally ready on the 1st set of bench. i unracked it thinking about something else and expected it to be light for some reason. It felt heavy as **** and after struggling through 2 reps I reracked it and started again.

Deads 140kg
5

Not a stellar session to be honest. My bench technique is also horrible, but I'm not sure how to improve it.

Today's weigh-in: 95.2kg up 1.7kg ????????

Not sure what happened there. I thought I had lost weight this week[Happy]

Still, going in the right direction

There's a bit of a knack to getting them up sitting - basically I sit down with them on my knees, and "kick" them up to the shoulder one at a time. You can quite easily handle 40kg+ with a bit of practice.

cheers rick. I read this advice from you to someone else on Mt, but I am still struggling to get it right!

just get your training partners to hand them to you, if your on your own then you have a problem.

Ahh, you seem to have hit on the main problem of solitary confinementHappy
