thanks for all the comments boys! thanks to tony (the ref) firm and fair, always had the respect of the competitors and a nice bloke too. also to mark and ben for putting on one hell of a comp, im sure it was as fun to watch as take part in, very professional! thanks to kev and mark again, big help encouragement, and helping with telling me times getting chalk quickly, made the differnce. also all the other beasts, everyone of you were fantastic a very hard fought battle, and a pleasure to compete with you all! heres how it all went event 1 - barrel and drag medley a very demanding event i don't think anyone felt ok after it. came 2nd in 67.15 to alex, a very strong all rounder. event 2 - log challenge finished all 4 logs and won this event, this was the highlight of my day. a lot of people still trying to hold their stomachs down. may have gone differently if this event wasn't after that brutal medley. event 3 - deadlift was a 16" deadlift and weighed 240kg this piece of kit looked quality.came 3rd in this event with 14 behind duracell bunny boar (2nd)15 and glen kerr (1st) 16. my back felt like it could of gone for days although i was struggling to get my shoulders back at the end my grip had other ideas. event 4 - farmers and frame came 2nd in this event which was a bit of a surprise as i hadn't had much practice, behind kenny who was fantastic all day. my grip held out so i could do each without drops. event 5 - squat this was 190kg axle squat and had the same big tyres from the deadlift, looked amazing. came joint 2nd with that machine boar on 11 reps, and was won by paul mccaffrey (big macca)with an impressive 12 reps. event 6 - atlas stones they went 100kg, 110kg, 120kg,135kg, to 60", 56", 52", 48" respectively. i had the privilege of going head to head with boar who was fantastic all day. this went well for me finishing 2nd behind kenny. all in all a great day, events went pretty much as i planned. it was a shame that shane injured his hands quite badly because he's a strong bloke and if that hadn't have happened im sure he would of been in the mix. kenny when i recover i'll have to make another trip up to osg to train with you lads again. pleasure to meet you and compete with you can't wait to see all the boys at britains if its half as good as today it will be an awesome day also a big thanks to rob frampton always had faith, and helped me out all through the day with his experince, cheers! if i have forgot anyone im sorry i've just got back and am pretty tired, thanks again to everyone involved!

JC said:f**k me boys, there a tad uncomfortbale if a little tight, but surely worth it for an extra 2-3 reps? i see your point jc but as im not use to them could they cost me 2 -3 reps in not making depth?
