I agree with Andy. Get yourself along to a decent weightlifting club, practice a lot and learn the lifts from decent weightlifters.
The UKSCA course will give you an insight into weightlifting and the application of the lifts for sports. I work as an S&C coach within pro rugby and also assess for the UKSCA and too many people are relying on a weightlifting course and some books to master lifts which weightlifters work on for years. If you are serious about learning the technique you need to make an effort to travel to a decent weightlifting club and train in the company of those who know what they are talking about.

Thanks Mark. I'm still inexperienced in a lot of the events, so I'll just get stuck in and see how I do. Looking at some of the other guys training logs, there's some good strong guys. It should be a good day though!
