So would i be right in saying if you squat low bar you should push more than high bar?

Sat 7th August

Deadlift
60 x 8
100 x 6
130 x 5
165 x 5
187.5 x 3
210 x 6

Power Clean
80 x 5
90 x 3
100 x 6

BO Rows
95 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10
105 x 10

1k run in 3.49

Today felt tough, i think it's a bit of tiredness after finishing my 6th shift in 7 days today, quite pleased with the DL though, 210 for 6 isn't bad for someone with a 240kg max is it? I didn't have much left after the rows so didn't expect a good time for the run so within 2 secs of my last one was ok.

You take a piss sitting down just to get an extra squat rep.

This might be a stupid question but is there much difference between high bar and low bar squats. How much lower can u get the bar, and does the lower the bar mean you are able to lift more?

hard not to when f**king new 11 rep max is counted, so it stands to reason you make a PB every time you hit a gym .

So tell me what training would you recommend to someone who is new to strongman? (myself)

How did the sparring go?

I'm currently doing the 5/3/1 routine and yes it does feel slow to start but it is definitely worth doing as a long term routine. I've already had some rep Pb's and have only been doing it for 6weeks. Some do t like it because of how light the first two/three cycles are but as long as you put your all into the last set I think you'll be onto a winner.

Now that your near your target weight you can concentrate on slamming your weaker events for the next few weeks, then happy days. Happy
