Well at least I don't wear the same t-shirt to the gym every single session. You smelly f**ker.

As we may be short of a reliable board holder before Haris arrives tonight, what is the accepted method for getting the boards securely in between your shirts? Is it tight t-shirt beneath and looser one on top?

I disagree. Have you ever drawn a zigzag? You will nearly always draw the first line going upwards - which of course has obvious connotations with consuming more calories. As zig is the first part of the word, this means that up is zig. So zig = more, zag = less. Perhaps Rick can shed some light on this.

No worries mate. By the way, do you remember what PB stands for?

Were you trying to target your outer lats then with these super wide grip chins? By the way, you failed to mentioned that you lost miserably at badminton. To a girl. At least thats how it looked when Adam and I watched you for a bit.

Haris will be delighted to know that I have decided to *slightly* adhere to his famed Zig Zag diet. On Zig days (training) I will continue to consume 4 litres of milk, whilst on Zag days (non training) I will only have 3. This is sure to result in a lot of confusion at my local corner shop who expect me to come in with my two pounds every morning a bit like the sun sets and the moon rises.

Ok, sounds like a good idea. Maybe just a light week in between instead of no deads altogether. Form work upto 140 maybe. 175 sounds quite loud when you drop it, and that's what its all about really. I love the Sugden Slam.

Originally posted by tokar... The 92.5kg bench press looks a bit of a joke now as well, with 85x3x5 this week. Should be good for 100kg. Hmm.. I should also be good for a 105 2.3 board press really by that logic (and my previous board pressing), so missing that knocked my confidence a bit. I think I'll go for 100 first week of October. Don't want to turn it into a mental thing if I miss it.

Any thoughts for what I should do next week? Maybe 175 for 5 singles (probably quite hard) or maybe 150/160 off platform.. don't really want to bother doing doubles.

11th September, Deadlift, Sugden Dynamic Stretching 5 mins various Deadlifts 20 x 8 60 x 6 80 x 3 100 x 2 120 x 1 140 x 1 155 x 1 170 x 1 x 5 PB Front Squats 60 x 4 72.5 x 2 82.5 x x 5 x 5 PB Stretching 5 mins Quiet tonight, just myself and Joni.. deadlifts got better as they went on. I think with my "horrible form" (Tokar) I get from A to B more quickly, but with head up and more legs I get there more fluently - which will pay dividends in the future. Still lots of work to be done though. Little time for assistance, football to be watched.

It is a pleasure. Some debate did arise after insisting on taking us to Sam's Cafe, but we realise now that your intentions were honourable. |
