Is this normal? sure is mate so I jacked in lol its hard though the mind is a lonely place and in this sport you are very solitary and have only others to look at and how ''good'' they are doing and thinking you wont stack up, so its easy to get down. Strength training and bb also seems to attract people with self image or self loathing problems, this compounds this training lull and the questions of is it all worth it also tends to bring out the questions of what am i doing wrong and what can I change to improve my training, which leads to the scatter bomb training and jumping from one program to another, imo the best thing to do is dedicate a reasonable amount of time to training without it impacting on more important parts of life, also set achievable goals based on the amount of time you set aside for training, if you cant be happy with the results in that amount of allocated time then maybe you have to consider is it worth doing it in the first place if it gives you negative feelings or just knuckle down and be happy with the results you get from that amount of training time. I went through this when I changed jobs and just decided i'll never be happy as I have body image issues so I decided to diet and try look better which ws more important than training numbers. Whatever you do you have to be happy doing it and the old saying of a break is as good as a change normally is true, excuse my ramblings by the way lol

Member 27, 2028 posts SQ 240, BP 170, DL 255665.0 kgs @ 102kgs UnEq | Me too mate, lifting the same weights now since Christmas, getting absolutely nowhere, sometimes even dropping the odd rep over the previous week. Doing my nut in. Have even put over a stone on but still no stronger. This has never happened to me before, I usually make steady progress but struggling to stand still at the moment !

![]() Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22526 posts | Rodger said: no time to train I can certainly associate with that! If I never got stronger again it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Wouldn't mind a 120kg strict press though, but that would be a non-essential bonus. Events of 2012 really highlighted to me what's important in life (although I already knew), and it's certainly not lifting weights! How about toying with some different lifts for a while (zerchers - wink wink ![]() ![]()
