As Joni said an effortless performance last week from you. Will be good to see you deliver in the final.

Look forward to reading the training log leading up to it, just don't slack with it and get plenty of vids Grin

Sorry I've not been back in touch re. the DVD's. I'm skint at the moment but will defo be in touch with you some time soon.

back
deadlifts
as a point of interest my deadlifts suck i have done 270 for 7 in comp done 280k for 3 couple of weeks ago
but my squatting and pressing is much better
i can pull massive weights from side handles i can pull 380k from knees but basic normal deadlift i suck
and the reason for this is that my form is bo***cks i lift my ass far too soon and do what can only be described as a stiff leg deadlift
i have only been doing strongman since 2005 and before then i had never done a deadlift so i have never really gotto gripps with it
so today i decided after about 6 weeks of research watching every one of the worlds great deadlifters in slo mo over and over again
so i have desided to go back to the drawing board and start agian with a new deadlift style
i wanted to do this before scottish but was too soon to qualifier to mess about

i think my problem is that i dont get back on the balls of my feet properly use vutually no legs and lift my ass too soon

so i have changed things about and i am hoping this will improve my deadlift

60k x 5
100k x 5
140k x 5
180k x 5
220k x 4
260k x 4

these felt better and i think if i keep working on form without going to heavy too soon i could get close to a 320k deadlift

upper back
chins BW x 21 took 3 sets of 7

pulldowns worked up to lvl 16 for 10

seated row full stack 150k x 20 very hard
seated row full stack with 10k plate x 20 almost sick very hard training partner is a wank

concept rower 3 sets of 250m

abbs
crunchies two sets of 30

yeah it would be great to have access to powerlifting coach or some know-it-all, they can really give loads of nice advice about little things which make a world of difference!

but sounds like you have a battle plan laid out anyway! Best of luck with it, if you can get more power out of the strong legs that can only be a good thing.
