I dont feel weaker when I drink... just very hard to keep to the diet when your hungover... all you want is no food or s**t food.

Yeah that's why I quit - my apetite used to go completely after a few drinks and it didn't come back for days!

I try and drink when possible but it's so far down my priorities that it can be overlooked

My lifestyle can be attributed to that but for whatever reason I think I've always been and eater rather than a drinker

If my training is poor I have to make up other excuses than being hungover, like general weakness Unhappy

I've always liked a few cans in the house or popping out for a few, never get drunk, but it adds up and some weeks I was drinking 30 pints easy, 2 or 3 before lunch, 3 or 4 in the evening. I got fat as a very fat thing and so cut way down, started running and cycling and lost loads of weight. I don't drink much now cause I don't want to balloon up again.

Drink every Friday and Saturday night with a couple of 'taper down' drinks on a Sunday night to combat the DT's.

i used to be a big drinker, but then my pbs stopped and my growth slowed right down, im now been best part of three months of the booze and my pb have started again and iv loosing fat and gaining size, im a big beliver now in looking after myself and looking good for the mrs, i will prob go out over xmas but my mates and family understand why im not a massive drinker anymore, try going a few weeks without booze and see what you feel like, if you feel better and your training is increasing then crack on, if not go streight to the pub lol,

Eh? How can u have hangovers at your age I don't even get them think the problem started when we started drinking at houses before going out to save money is 2-3 litres of vodka per weekend excessive for pre drinks

i might just be used to it because i used to get smashed then come it at 2.00-3.00 then go to work at 6.00 but i can drink loads and it doesnt effect me much at all when i work out. in fact i always feel better for it.

If you like boozing, then do so, whether it effects your training or not IMO

Lets be honest, once you're sloshed, you dont really gives a f**k if it effects your lifting or not!

The only people I may not advocate the above too, are those who have the potential to excel professionally in a given sport.....but that is only 1 or 2 on here

2-3 litres? how do you not have to have your stomach pumped after that?
