Had knee issues on and off for 15+ years. Went to a physio about 8 years ago and did stuff which helped,(and also took diclofenac) but can't remember all of it now. The problem comes and goes, normally only lasting a few days a couple of times a year, but it's been mostly bad since the beginning of this year. It manifests itself with pain around the top right of my kneecap on my left leg. Walking down stairs burts, as does squatting. Also if I lie down, raise my knee up with my foot on the floor and then raise my foot the action of raising my foot hurts my knee.
I remember (peterson?)step downs being part of my rehab, but can't remember anything else? Any ideas.

I know I should do that. It's a ball ache going to the docs to get referred, then not being able to make the appointment due to work etc.

Been seeing a physio and doing rehab stuff. Thought it might have been vmo insertion into kneecap, but physio thinks it may be bursitis. Anyone any experience with bursitis of the knee. I know there's several Bursas round the knee. The one causing my pain is behing the kneecap at the top. Forgotten its name.
Looks like I might need to have a scan to check it out.
