Like a dickhead i managed to drop my iPhone down the toilet yesterday morning and its f**ked. Wont switch on or do anything.

Not too bothered as ive just ordered an iPhone 4 which will be here soon but i am bothered about all the photos, videos and phone numbers on my f**ked up phone.

Is there anyway of getting these off the phone as it doesnt do anything when i plug it into the laptop.

When you connected it to iTunes did you ever do a back up?

As well as syncing it there should be a back up option. Photos are saved to that section in myphotos etc.

To be honest though when mine died I just connected a new one and it loaded all the info back on for me

Well ive just plugged it and found my phone as if it were a memory stick and copied all my images and videos into a folder on my desktop so thats sorted.

Just need to sort my numbers but whilst its working i think ill just write them all down manually.

All sorted. Images & videos copied into a folder on my desktop and all my numbers typed into an excel spreadsheet.

Just need to wait for my new phone to arrive now...

they dont test they work pal they just want the components and gold out of the phone. iPhones are laced with gold and have the best components. Quids in! Dont tell them its broke and they shouldnt find out!

You coming Salt Ayre Sports Centre on Sunday?

If anyone else drops their phone in water in future... the best thing to do is DO NOT TRY TO SWITCH IT ON... leave it in the airing cupboard for a day or two to dry out.... then have a go.
I have done this with my HTC Desire and it worked fine. Though it wasn't fully submerged in water but did get enough on it to get in between the touchscreen and the display, airing cupboard cleared that up too.

A friend of mine told me this - she said whatever you do just f**king leave it and dont try to turn it on or youll short it out.

Shame she told me after i had been trying to switch it on for an hour.Roll-Eyes
