Music is the biggest single irritation in my gym, and something I will go on and on and on about to anyone who will listen. We have 'Viva' on continually, which has the same six or seven artists on in a continual rotation, interspersed with brown-nosing 'interviews' of the same f**king artists by relentlessly enthusiastic saucer-eyed teenage c**ts grown in a f**king laboratory for the sole purpose of ruining my f**king workout through the simple expedient of mangling the beloved English language, not to mention inserting the word 'like' in every f**king sentence until I'm ready to have done with hearing altogether and pan-fry my own pinnae in a light f**king bearnaise sauce. And while I'm on the subject, bo***cks to androgynous f**k-puppet Lady Gaga and her one-organism campaign to systematically erase every trace of soul from contemporary music.

Excellent rant, Cliff, except that you wouldn't fry them in a bernaise sauce; they'd simmer. Fry them and add the sauce afterwards.

Of course, you're right. Still, I put the 'ear' in b-ear-naise sauce. Happy

My collection gets quite heavy. Usually just stick to Black Dahlia Murder, The Faceless, Necrophagist, Meshuggah. However, I dont mind a bit of dance music for doing cardio or anything fast paced.

My gym usually have dance[modern disco] music blaring out which i don't find that conducive to lifting heavy ass weight.
I like some soundtrack music,
gangs of new york-peter gabriel- signal to noise
Manhunter-Prime movers- Strong as I am
Karate kid-joe espos-Your the best[yer I know cheese]
Blade-massive attacke- I against I
Blade-Confusion
Commando- Somewhere Somehow
Then I like New York Hardcore[Metal crossed with Punk]
Fav NYHC band is Irate, try and get[youtube] a song called vendetta realy heavy and the fans dance very aggresivly to it to,LoL!
Other NYHC bands that are good are, Madball, Billyclub sandwich.
Metal band wise - Fear Factory, Machine head, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Pantera, Rage against the machine etc.
Dance Music wise- Prodigy, utah saints, orbital, chemical brothers, fluke, ultraviolence etc.
note: I find the prodigy's 'thier law' and 'poison' live are amazing tracks to get psyched for heavy lifting.

Perhaps not the music you mean, but a bit of Chris Liebing is about as heavy as I go.

Suits my autistic tendancies rather well.

depends on the mood, but i dont really like metal unless its black metal or hardcore.

Lately when feeling weak the music of choice has been Dark Funeral
