I used to listen more to heavier stuff a few years back - Cathedral were pretty heavy but a bit slow, Morbid Angel, Carcass, Both Thower, God Flesh, Deicide, Napalm Death, Massacre were the main players in my collection.

More of an Ac/Dc, Disturbed, Hatebreed fan these days

with listening to Heavy Metal do you think it makes any difference to your lifting in training and in compitition?

there is only one or two songs that fire@s me up and i save that for comps if its a max attempt.

just wondering is you need to get that adrenalin dump into your system in every session or in some sessions that you need it

Vitsaus, Satanic Warmaster, Black Witchery, Kult Ofenzivy, Behexen, Baptism... I've been listening to black metal since the arrival of Venom, Bathory, etc. in the early 80s and have followed its evolution closely. Sad for an old man, but never mind...

The music in our gym is normally f**king terrible, allthough occasionally we manage to get them to put on something decent. I tend to listen to my ipod if it gets to me. Normally something like acid bath, church of misery, testament, kyuss, melvins, slayer, electric wizard, darkthrone or high on fire.

Shouldn't you be listening to plainchant and songs of the troubadours?

Music is the biggest single irritation in my gym, and something I will go on and on and on about to anyone who will listen. We have 'Viva' on continually, which has the same six or seven artists on in a continual rotation, interspersed with brown-nosing 'interviews' of the same f**king artists by relentlessly enthusiastic saucer-eyed teenage c**ts grown in a f**king laboratory for the sole purpose of ruining my f**king workout through the simple expedient of mangling the beloved English language, not to mention inserting the word 'like' in every f**king sentence until I'm ready to have done with hearing altogether and pan-fry my own pinnae in a light f**king bearnaise sauce. And while I'm on the subject, bo***cks to androgynous f**k-puppet Lady Gaga and her one-organism campaign to systematically erase every trace of soul from contemporary music.

Stay angry pal! Lada Gaga is pure tosh and so is the idea that it's okay to like her, and that she is good pop music. Its not its pretencous s**t and some people should f**king now better.
