What are the most impressive things you have seen in Sugden?

I would say seeing Anthony doing 5 reps with +75 on dips today was up there. Ollys 250 deadlift and Adam 200/205? triple on squat were both good to watch. Seeing Sam doing 4 one arm chins was good as well.

Seeing that guy do 150 for 6 on the bench without a warm up was also kind of impressive, not as much as it should have been because there was a trail of juice squirting out of his ears all around the gym.

Oh, and I saw a really fat Finnish dude do a pull up - which I thought was pretty impressive with his belly.

i though that pullup was pretty good.

About that big dide benching 6x150 without a warm up, he says he doesnt take protein supplements because he only eats whole foods and doesnt trust any supplements, he thinks they are unhealthy.

i would add adams 220kg squat, that was pretty sweet.

And to bang my own drum, the lifts are something i am proud of which are done at sugden:
- squat triple with 190
- bench 5x5x120 (missing one rep though)
- platform dead with 200 - was a brutal fight!

Any your own lifts you are proud of?

Your 5x5 with 120 was very impressive considering how crap your bench was not long ago. Jo deadlifting (i mean stiff legged) more than twice her bodyweight for 3 singles is seriously impressive. Especially considering most people in the gym couldn't get anywhere near double there bodyweight. Olly's 190 x 10 also deserves a special mention.

Seeing Rob squat 150kg not long after he was still doing bodyweight squats.

My personal favourites have been 3x3 with 200kg squats, 140kg for 3x3 bench. Sadly, i'm miles off that now.

I would have to say that Adams 250 kg deadlift and 220 kg squats were the most impressive, all the more so considering the day from hell that was happening at the time!!!

Anyone doing pull ups with extra weight is always impressive.

My own personal favorite is the 3x3 with 115kg on the leg press, because it was only about 6 weeks after I was struggling to do 115 for a single.

I'm sensing a little biasGrin

The lifts that have really impressed me the most are probably:

- Adam's 250kg deadlift

- Joni's 227.5kg deadlift

There are plenty of others to mention but these are two that stick in my mind. Basically because its probably the weakest lift for both of them relatively, and I know how much the lifts meant to both of them.

I think my best lift in Sugden was the 240kg dead off of the plates, although I'm hoping to surpass that soon enough.

hey this same legendary bench presser did a nice double with 180kg the other day. I have to say that looked very motivating to me!
