I dont think it is intended as such, but this should be a euphemism. Grin

My comma should have clarified that it was not an inherendo. The woman who I'm thinking of wouldn't have anything upherendo.

samue1son said:hahaha. Some other responses I had from a couple of guys who competed 3/4+ years back for them also seems to be some pretty crappy feedback. Not dissimilar to the pompous comments and personality disorder of older hierarchy.

I won't rule them out based purely on that though, as sadly amusing as it seems.

Having a raz through the (A)BPU website gives off a purposeful vibe and intro about encouraging competition elsewhere. That's a big deal.
Also, tested numbers seem surprisingly low? Or is that just realistic for tested and low competitor numbers?

Abpu numbers are low because the number of competitors are quite low plus the best tested lifters will lift in the ipf where the competition level is high

As with all things there are bell ends in the gbpf (many people would tell I am one of them) (but I am not currently a member)

However they are out weighed by the good people in the fed. (not because bell ends are all skinny)

Interesting thread.

I'm from Northampton and as far as i can recall all the British Powerlifting referees from around here are male, Kevin Jane, Pete Weiss, Steve Walker and myself.

Pre-Pandemic, British Powerlifting had nearly 5,000 members, so larger than all the others combined and yes, it is probably the strictest fed with respect to rules and regs.

On the pants front Primark will do you 6 pairs of regulation pants for five quid, so not too expensive.

All that aside, if you are only lifting for fun my advice would be to lift in any fed you please, just enjoy yourself.

Does your league inspect the pants, to ensure they are 100% Primark, and no one has tried to sneak M&S briefs through for premium elastic gains please? )

How long until we get SBD pants out on the market? I mean they already have socks, so why not IPF legal pants with a 7mm elasticated waist?

Of course pants are inspected at kit check.
M&S pants are generally a sign that the lifter in question is an over 50 Masters lifter.
CK briefs are also very popular...

I'm sure pants must have been tabled at the development meetings!

I'd consider the Abpu. It's the drug tested arm of the bpu. I always lifted bpu and if I was to ever compete again It's where I'd go.

You also have the option of knee wraps bare knee single ply and multi ply all within the same fed.
